HOMESCHOOL
ACTING PROGRAM

A comprehensive film & television program for homeschool students ages 11-15.

This trimester-based program combines professional acting training with project-based learning in a collaborative, supportive environment. Students train inside a working casting office while developing on-camera acting skills, creative confidence, and a deeper understanding of the film and television industry.

WHAT STUDENTS WILL EXPERIENCE

FILM & TV SCENE WORK

Work with television & film scripts to build strong characters and natural on-camera performance.

COMMERCIALS & IMPROV

Explore commercial copy and improv to develop creativity, quick thinking, and confidence.

AUDITION TECHNIQUE

Learn audition essentials, script analysis, self-tape skills, and how to take direction on camera.

INDUSTRY INSIGHTS

Gain real-world insight through guest visits, mock auditions, and Q&A sessions.

STUDENT-DRIVEN LEARNING

A collaborative environment where lessons evolve with the interests and goals of the students.

PROGRAM SCHEDULE

FALL TRIMESTER:

  • September - November (12 weeks)

WINTER TRIMESTER:

  • January - March (14 weeks)

SPRING TRIMESTER:

  • April - June (14 weeks)

SCHOOL CREDIT

This program is designed to provide sufficient instructional hours to support many homeschool elective or fine arts credit requirements.

Boston Casting is not an accredited school. However, we are happy to provide attendance records, course descriptions, and other documentation that family may submit to their homeschool program or supervising district when appropriate.
